In layman’s language, Sleep Mode puts your computer in semi-shutdown state. Initiated either automatically or manually, Sleep Mode saves the current state of your Windows in the RAM, thus consuming only power only required to keep the critical hardware resources like RAM and HDD active. ![]() ![]() By default, Windows 10 automatically goes to sleep when it is left unattended for 15 minutes and 30 minutes when on battery and when connected to the power supply respectively.
